  Candidates Corporate Campaign Skills Training

I just wanted to share with everyone that I networked with, worked with, was honored twice by the Commission on the Status of Women, San Jose, CA, in the mid-eighties.

I also was a Founding Member, and worked directly and diligently founding the new Commission on the Status of Women in Glendale, CA, 2001.

You may be able to see checking just left of the insert is my name and email (earthlink then) are among the list of "Corporate Campaign skills Trainees"

If I choose to run for elected office again, I still have the two manuals I was provided.

The first photo in the post is myself at City Hall taking an official candidate photo.

Next photo is our Democratic Club Candidate Forum.  We were not running against each other - we each were running for different seats.  Each election cycle, candidates were invited to convince club members why they should vote for them.

I participated in several Forums:  The League of Women Voters, The League of women of the Confederacy, I believe is the correct name, and others.

The bottom three photos are members of our Democratic Club at one of our events.  It was a great honor I served as President at the time the photo was taken.

I'm just learning how to do the posters, etc. right? - I just learned they can't be this small.  That's why I put the insert below in.

I promise, I'm learning!  Thanks for your patience!  next time....!!!

(The insert reads)

"...Dorn, Wanda

Political exp.:  Volunteered for numerous candidates and community organizations.  The Mayor and City Council appointed her as a "Fine Arts Commissioner" (I hand noted "and "Memorial Advisory Committee"

In April of 2001, as a School Board candidate with the Glendale USD, Ms. Dorn found big donor fundraising a challenge.  Hence, she came to this seminar to learn from the excerpts in the field of campaign finance.  Contact information: wandadorn@earthlink.net, wandascafe@earthlink.net; Fax 818-507-6074"
